Above is a picture of my beautiful family – my daughter Isabella, me, my husband Mark, my granddaughter Maisyn, my other daughter Allison and her husband Jeremy.
Hi everyone! My name is Kelly. I was first diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 1995 at the age of 25 with symptoms of constant diarrhea, weight loss and a continuous low grade fever. At age 30, I became pregnant with my daughter, which in turn, brought me into remission. I had the best 2 years of my life during this time before my Crohn’s returned due to a stressful situation. I took a turn for the worse…I have had my gallbladder removed, multiple fistula surgeries, abscesses, 4 small bowel resections and a colon resection that led to a permanent colostomy. I currently have a small bowel fistula that has adhered to my bladder causing many problems along the way. I am also on TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) on and off, that gives me additional nutrition and calories I need in order to live and function. I try my best to live a positive life and live my life to the fullest. Please join me in my journey as I attempt to change my life style for the better. It will be challenging, but with lots of prayers and your support, I am confident that I can do this! I cannot afford another surgery..
